I'm in my second year of college and I have somewhat figured out my school's 10 style tribes. Being a commuter blesses me with ample free time to people watch from the big glass windows of third floor Pryz (student center) while I wait for my next class. These are my conclusions:

*Warning* I'm sorry (not really) if you get hurt by these (true) generalizations

1. Athlete

Closet consists mostly of athletic clothing; Only removes their Under Armor headband Thursday or Friday night before they go out.

2. Vineyard Vine/plaid button up with khaki pants/pastel shorts and Sperry's

Dress like they own a yacht (they probably do) and wear this outfit everywhere; Add a belt for a more formal look.

3. Girl Version of the Vineyard Vine boy

Initials on everything: embroidered on purses and worn on neck. Brown Michael Kors bag. Neutral colored vests with brown riding boots or Hunter rain boots. Lilly Pulitzer. Shall I continue?

4. Brandy Melville/Pacson/American Eagle girl

Loose neutral color cotton top with leggings and Adidas superstars; Substitute for uggs during the fall/winter.

5. Faux Skater

Checkered Vans in slip-on or lace-ups. The classic white slip with ripped black jeans.

6. Rich International Students

Girl, the flex level is too high. Gucci everything! Luis wallet for the Luis Bag for the Luis shoes. Sunglasses in and outside the building. Smell expensive.

7. The Idc

Has clothes to wear but chooses to wear sweatpants or shorts instead (note this person is not athletic... they just don't care) switches out the sports shorts for cool looking leggings or yoga pants to be styled with t-shirts of places they've volunteered at before or cotton shirts.

8. The Confused

Doesn't understand what looks good and what is just ugly, tends to be confused socially as well.

9. Overly Trendy

This person buys clothes more often than they breathe because they love to stay trendy. Sells clothes to make money to buy more trendy clothes they'll sell later to feed the cycle. Buys expensive things because they are expensive and still doesn't look put together or does buy nice trendy pieces but looks basic because other people are wearing the same thing.

10. The Stylish

Aware of self and trends. A beautiful mix of contemporary and classic looks, basics don't seem basic because this person is wearing it. Able to make anything look put together.
